‘The Eassie Does it‘ Music Festival on Saturday 14th May, with children’s workshops in the morning, a star studded Concert at 3pm, followed by a free jam session 5-7pm and ceilidh at night with the Orwell Ceilidh Band.
The concert at 3pm (£15) compere Jim Brown of Fettercairn will introduce Sheena Wellington, Karen Matheson (Capercaille fame), Karen Hannah,(amazing fiddler) Johnny Kemp and Scott Gardiner (well know to many in Angus). An exciting line up and we want to ensure everyone has a chance to purchase tickets for this local event with great stars, free parking and on our doorsteps!
A free jam session follows the concert from 5-7pm where anyone is invited to join a local band of worthies Jim Broon fae Newtyle and big Donald Clerk, to name but two! We take to the floor for the Ceilidh at 730pm (£10) with the Orwell Ceilidh band, which will round off a day of great musical entertainment and enjoyment.
An important Note: We have just opened our newly built community hall a mammoth task for our small rural community. This event is helping in the final push to fill our fundraising coffers and to showcase our new hall which has exceeded all our expectations. A good
news story and worth celebrating.
